The children and teachers in Ahuriri were so excited to welcome Constable Jess into our Studio. She came to talk to us about the very special hats that she gets to wear as a Police Officer. We learnt about the features and uses for each of her hats. It was pretty amazing to get to look at, hold and even try on the hats! We were such an incredible audience that Constable Jess even invited us out to look at her Police Car. We got to see the cool flashing lights and hear the three different sirens. Wow, what an experience!
We are so inspired to learn more about hats as we start to think about designing our own creations. We've been busy sorting hats, learning about fashion shows and exploring different kinds of hat designs.
