Wow! We are half way through the term and just about half way through the year, time is just flying! We have had another fantastic week in Ahuriri.
Lets take a peek at what we have been up to:
Mr. M visited us for Simultaneous Story Time tomorrow at 1pm on Wednesday. Schools and libraries around NZ and Australia read the same book, Speedy Sloth, and learnt all about Sloths.
PINK SHIRT DAY
On Friday, the Ahuriri children and teachers joined many others in Aotearoa as we became a sea of pink. By taking part in Pink Shirt Day, we were helping to stamp out bullying by celebrating diversity and promoting kindness and inclusion. We are amazing at being....K-I-N-D!
In Ahuriri, we have been learning about shapes. We have also been exploring straight lines, curvy lines, corners and edges. Shapes are all around us and by being maths detectives, we have been able to identify many shapes in our environment and even make our own!
