Halswell Quarry Field Trip

 Ahuriri visited The Halswell Quarry Park on Wednesday with our explorer hats and minds on out on adventure to learn more about our local history. A massive thank you to our wonderful parents who volunteered to come along and join us, it would not have been possible with out you!

For those of you who did not join us on the trip, we had a wonderful experience learning about the history of our local quarry. From workers who had to share one bath and only four beds, to learning about the transport and use of the Quarry rocks. Our children left the Quarry with a rich knowledge about one of Halswell's local treasures. 

We were so impressed with the children's independence, manners and kindness they showed to others on the trip. Well done Ahuriri.
